Roofing Service in Los Alamitos and the Cities Around It

We work on roofs in Los Alamitos and the neighboring cities on both sides of the county line. Every job starts with a free roof inspection, so you know the condition of your shingles, tile, flashing and underlayment before anyone talks about price.

Cities We Cover From Los Alamitos

Most of our work is a short drive from Los Alamitos. On the Orange County side, that means Rossmoor, Cypress, Seal Beach, Stanton, Garden Grove, Westminster and Buena Park. Across the line in Los Angeles County, we cover Lakewood, Cerritos and Artesia. Wherever your home sits in that ring, you get the same work: roof repair, roof leak repair, roof replacement, gutters, tile roofing, asphalt shingle roofing and flat roofing over patios and additions.

Working in two counties matters for paperwork. Each city has its own building department, and unincorporated areas go through the county, each with its own reroof permit forms and inspection scheduling. We pull the permit for the jurisdiction your home is in. We explain the estimate line by line, in English or Spanish. Financing is available through Service Finance Company, subject to credit approval. If you are filing a claim after wind damage, we work directly with your insurance claim and give you photos of what we found.

What We Check For on Roofs in This Area

Housing age
Much of the housing in these cities went up from the 1950s through the 1970s, mostly single-story tract homes. Many are on their second or third roof, and some still have new shingles laid over an old layer. We count the layers and check whether the original plank or skip sheathing needs solid plywood before a new roof goes on.
Dry summers, wet winters
Rain here falls mostly between late fall and early spring, after months of dry heat. Sealant at pipe boots and step flashing dries out and cracks over the summer, so the first real storm finds those spots. Strong sun also wears the granules off asphalt shingles and breaks down the felt under concrete tile. That is why a tile roof that looks fine from the street can still leak at the underlayment.
Salt air near the coast
The closer your home is to Seal Beach, the faster salt in the marine air corrodes exposed nails, drip edge and gutter hangers. We choose fasteners and flashing metal that hold up to that exposure.
Santa Ana winds
Dry offshore winds in fall and winter can lift shingle tabs and shift loose tile at ridges and rakes. After a wind event, we look for creased tabs and cracked or displaced tile before water reaches the deck.
Permits and inspections
A reroof generally needs a permit and at least one inspection, and California energy code can affect material choices on some projects. We handle the permit and schedule the inspection, so the job closes out properly with your city or the county.
